Overview

Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä was founded durring the late 13th century in spring of the year 1180, by Dukdriginn Braenlynn Reidduibelyn. The establishment of Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä's construction back out of the project. Dukdriginn Braenlynn Reidduibelyn pushed on reguardles, and Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä is buildings are arranged arround a single premissive flagstone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The political statment focused walls have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Já̂ Hēr Ni̋ēkēä ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the city one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the city places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.
